Chris Long has worked as a performing musician in areas ranging from classical/contemporary classical, to rock, jazz, musical theatre, experimental and improvised music, and has been accompanying choirs on and off for 23 years.

After gaining his degree at Kingston University he completed his Masters in Composition with Gavin Bryars and Dave Smith.  He has written for choirs, orchestra, dance and TV, having over 14 CD's of original work to his name.

As well as having worked with (among others) members of Kula Shaker and The Pogues, in 2007 he played keyboards in the world premiere run of "Monkey: Journey to the West", an opera in Mandarin by Damon Albarn (of pop band Blur).

He has been Programme Manager of the music courses at Stratford-upon-Avon College since 1997 and continues to work as both performer and composer.  He is currently a member of jazz-rock band OiGoi, the dishevelled rock band Tenebrous Liar, and the Belgian music collective 48Camera.
